New Season of The Craft Market at Spier Opens
By: Sue Heathcock (2020-10-08)
We’re excited to be re-opening The Craft Market at Spier for the new 2020-2021 season on Friday 9th October. We’re currently installling all the new displays and are loving all the new products our artists have designed over the long lockdown winter.
With international travel to South Africa now permitted, but still limited to countries with low numbers of Covid-19 cases, we have decided to start slow for the month of October and open for trading only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 10h00 to 17h30. We will review the situation and add more days as we go, building up to trading every day over the December/January holiday season.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our colourful corner of Spier Wine Farm – on the shady lawns below the Wine Centre – and as always our artists will be working on site and love to chat with visitors about their work. The lovely open air setting with plenty of fresh air makes for a great escape from the crowds and we will be wearing masks, sanitising regularly and maintaining social distance, so you can relax, feel safe, and take your time browsing the market.
Plan a day out to Stellenbosch and Spier Wine Farm and take in the craft market before or after lunch at Vadas or at the Spier Farm Kitchen. You can get ahead on your Christmas shopping, spoil yourself with a beautiful handmade piece of jewellery, recycled art, painting, beaded wirework sculpture and so much more.
